You may have noticed that I haven't blogged an outfit in about a month. My camera was out of commission. I dropped it or something and I had to send it off to Nikon but now I'm back! I recently went to San Diego for my birthday and stopped at the J.Crew at University Town Center and purchased this skirt and a couple other things. I have to say their customer service was lacking in La Jolla. I was pretty disappointed since the service in Scottsdale was amazing. I checked Fashion Valley J.Crew also but it was incredibly picked over in the sale section. I found only 1 or 2 items in my size.

 

 

A few weekends ago my husband went to a work conference in Scottsdale, AZ. The resort was Westin Kierland. The company don't allow family during the conference onlt before or after and I've never joined him either pre or post conference. Since the conference was in AZ, just a short 6 hr drive away, I decided it was time. Bright and early Friday morning I loaded up the car and drove to Scottsdale.

I was well prepared this trip as fair as resort/vacation wear was concerned. In the past not so much! I actually felt cute, casual, and comfortable all at the same time. When we went on our 10 yr anniversary cruise last year I tried my hardest for those 3 things but it just didn't work out for me. I was even prepared with my camera (rarely took out the camera on the cruise) all ready to take a billion pictures of our small family having fun...that didn't work (camera broke on the first day). I did snap quite a few pics on my iphone and posted on IG @methodclothe.

Back to the clothes and such here are some of the purchases I made specifically for resort/vacation wear!

I don't typically dress down on Sundays but I was feeling extra lazy being as it was Mother's day and I was alone with the kids. I really don't like Mother's day. Every year it's the same thing. I'm alone with the kids while other moms are posting their amazing breakfast in bed. Excuse me while I go cry in the corner...

We went to a local minor league baseball game last weekend with some friends. It was a gorgeous night and the kids loved it. It's always great to do a family activity together. I figured this was perfect baseball attire...baseball tee and converse. Am I right? BTW this tee says "How are you" in french.

Since I really can't afford a Collection cashmere sweater in punk floral ($258) I had to get the Charley sweater in retro floral! I was super happy to see it. It's fun, it's cute, and fits great!

I wore this a couple of Sundays ago. I haven't been outfit planning on Sundays. Either I'm lazy or just bored with what's in my closet and it's time to shop. Yeah that's it the last one. LOL

 

And what is going on with my affiliate links through reward style. Anyone else having trouble? I know they are all in Dallas having a grand time at the conference but please don't slack on your website...there are others that still need to use it right now. Sheesh.
