Im pretty much stuck in a blue denim rut. That's all I wear, besides skirts on Sunday and I can't stop!
I need an intervention.
FYI: The new Spring/Summer Stella & Dot line is launching in just a few days so stay tuned for a post on that. I'm closely reaching 100 followers on this little blog so I'll have a Stella & Dot giveaway from the new collection.

There was a little outfit planning when it came to this outfit. I bought this stripe sequin tee on clearance and with a 30% off promo code at J.Crew but since it's decided to be chilly in So Cal I had to layer it. I plan on wearing this tee during the warmer months with a bright colored skirt or neon heels. I'm pretty much digging the sequins at any time of the year aren't you. It's so fun.
Happy Sunday!

ILY COUTURE
I asked my husband how I looked while we were on the way to church. He said something like "great, spring, easter" WHAT!!!!! Easter. No I'm festive. Non-tradition like my tree.

I'm not big on watching awards shows. I mostly am just interested in what the attendees wore. I was flipping through a magazine at work during my lunch break and I saw a stunning dress wore by Carrie Underwood in a Abed Mahfouz gown. She wore is at the AMA's.
It's embellished, it's modest, it has a small train, and it's age appropriate (she doesn't look like she's 65 wearing this dress). Isn't it gorgeous? Had to share!

Recently got this knit blazer in the mail for about $35. It's really the cutest color pink AND I wrapped presents today. I know my son will start asking me this now "mom what's this?" Kid I'm not telling.

I like many were very troubled by the horrific tragedy on Friday Dec 14th. It was especially hard for me to send my elementary aged child to school for fear that events like this can continue to happen in this country. It could happen again anywhere. At a workplace, a theater, a mall, a government building, a college, and even an elementary school.
"Death eventually comes to all humankind. It comes to the aged as they walk on faltering feet. Its summons is heard by those who have scarcely reached midway in life’s journey, and often it hushes the laughter of little children. Death is one fact that no one can escape or deny.
Frequently death comes as an intruder. It is an enemy that suddenly appears in the midst of life’s feast, putting out its lights and gaiety. Death lays its heavy hand upon those dear to us and at times leaves us baffled and wondering. In certain situations, as in great suffering and illness, death comes as an angel of mercy. But for the most part, we think of it as the enemy of human happiness.
The darkness of death, however, can ever be dispelled by the light of revealed truth.
“I am the resurrection, and the life,” spoke the Master. “He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
“And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.”
This reassurance—yes, even holy confirmation—of life beyond the grave could well provide the peace promised by the Savior when He assured His disciples: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”"

Last wednesday my husband and I went to one of his holiday parties. We go to two each year for him. One for other general managers and one for his managers. I kinda dressed down this time. I'm wearing a trouser but it's jeans. I bought the blazer just a few hours before. I had totally planned to wear something else. I love the zipper detail. There's 5 zippers on this jacket and this clutch was a must buy. Couldn't pass up at $15.
