J.Crew top, wedges, & bracelet; BRFS skirt, S&D necklace
A couple of days ago someone commented that I wear a lot of pencil skirts and jeans. Which is in fact the truth. It kind of bothered me. I started to think how can I wear more than just jeans and pencil skirts. That's basically all I have in my closet. I do have 3-4 dresses, green chino cropped pants, and a pair of white jeans and black jeans.
Obviously I'm super comfortable in my skirts and jeans because dresses and other pants look weird on me. Believe me I do try to wear other things but they just look silly. If I was a size 00-4 I would like to think I could pull anything off. Since I'm not, you skinny ladies will have to clue me in. Can you wear anything being some tiny?

ReplyDeleteI wish I could offer you some advice, but I can't! :( I have also received similar comments and while I do try to mix up my outfits, I like to wear what I think looks best on me. I've tried to do a few different things here and there and then I'm not satisfied with how I look. I like your outfits because they are things/items I can wear to church, work, date night, etc.

What else is there other than pencil skirts and skinny jeans?? haha! I'm a size 6-8, and am pretty curvy, so I'm all over the map when it comes to clothing styles. Although, I usually go for fit and flare dresses along with more pencil skirt style dresses. And with pants I go for all different styles of jeans {flare, boot}, but mostly skinny jeans though. I think it's all about continually trying new things on, and if something works for you, keep with it! :)

ReplyDeletePersonally, I do think there are some ladies who are slim and can pull of anything. Like Aimee Song from Song of Style can look great in practically anything. But I don't think it's totally true...there are still some whose style can be more classic or preppy or grunge (etc.) and some things may not be the same on her as it would be on another. =)

omg was this me that said that??? i dont even wear skinny jeans bc of my booty - so its skirts and dresses. anyways if it was me, i meant it only as "yay someone else appreciates pencil skirts"
